Synopsis
Vimal is visiting his daughter in New York City when he breaks his favorite razor, a first anniversary gift from his late wife procured during another trip taken decades earlier. He sets off alone to find the Grant St. Shaving Co. and replace the razor. Along the way, he meets a friendly van driver, who offers to take him there after completing his deliveries. The delivery route turns into an impromptu tour of the city and Vimal begins to experience visions of his wife as a newlywed all those years ago.
His final vision of her, at the Shaving Co., fades to reveal a boarded up shop. Vimal returns home without the razor. He makes a cup of chai for his exhausted daughter, who in turn surprises him with a razor not unlike his own.

About The Director
Payal Sethi's relationship with writing dates back to age nine, when she assisted her grandmother in translating English thrillers into Tamil. After studying Screenwriting & Film Production at Vassar College she became a production and development executive at Mira Nair’s Mirabai Films.
Payal has held positions within the independent film industry in New York with companies such as The Tribeca Film Festival & IFP Market. She finally started her own company, FilmKaravan, in 2008. Her feature project, 'Ooty Queen,' is a heartwarming story of female bonding and empowerment told with a heavy dose of humor and a touch of camp.
