Reviews:Albert Trummer’s foray into the Cocktail-esque world of flair bartending is less "Cocktails and Dreams" and more Moulin Rouge. Trummer has installed fabrics and curtains from forties theaters, and an elevated bar. “The bar is a theater,” he tells us. “It’s a stage, where the bartender is included.”

Reviews: Taking a nod from its Times Square location, this three-level party complex boasts ten billboard-size TVs, a series of smaller plasma screens, colored conical lamps that hang above the long white marble bar, and a set of large, flat circular lights that send a constantly changing glow of purple, deep blue, and red throughout the long narrow ground floor space. Tourists and a handful of post-paper-pushing locals, some of whom appear overwhelmed by the Technicolor pomp and flash, plant themselves on the luxurious leather barstools or in the plush booths, while the friendly staff desperately tries to keep pace, pouring pints from among the 15 tap beers or mixing up one of Tonic’s signature lychee martinis. The second floor plays host to the fabulous Saturday night Desi Party, a celebration of all things Bollywood. A playbook-length menu of above average pub grub is available when the stomach rumbles at halftime or if another one of the senses needs to be overloaded.
