Shantilal is a weather reporter at a reputed English daily in Kolkata. He is in his late 30s, unmarried and lives with his mother. Shantilal chances upon a long lost scandal about the reigning box-office queen. The journalist in him is roused and he sets about investigating the story in Chennai and then Singapore. Two very different people from two very different India’s come face-to-face and that meeting decides whether “the story of a lifetime” finds its way on to a newspaper page.
